Information theory is defined under computer science, which has absolutely nothing to do with biochemical information, such as DNA, RNA, etc. Those are two separate monkies. What made you idiots even think something that is only applicable to only one thing, could be applied to other things? We can store pieces of information within a computer system. However, it is always inserted into frameworks for easier conceptualization. Information Theory only applies to those globs of 1s and 0s. We may put that data into a computer system to make it easier to conceptualize and understand. Besides, what of all the isotopes of the atoms in the molecules in DNA? Remember, no matter the isotope, if it is within a molecule, it is processed no differently. What effect would a phosphorus isotope have within the DNA? During cellular mitosis? How long would that isotope stay an isotope? Some phosphorus isotopes can have quite long nuclidic half-lives. But once incorporated into a molecule, that nuclide will last almost forever, until the molecule is broken apart.
